2K Games has welcomed a seasoned producer from the creators of Apex Legends to direct the studio crew at 31st Union, which is currently developing the anticipated third-person action-packed title known as Project Ethos.

Leadership Transition Comes After Mixed Feedback

Brinkman assumes the leadership position at the development studio following the departure of previous head Michael Condrey, who was reportedly let go due to the game's lackluster early showing last fall.

On Wednesday, the company's top executive David Ismailer notified employees about this strategic move through an official communication, which emphasized that early feedback sessions had shown the necessity for a clearer direction.

The president noted that the team is now refining the project with a renewed approach, aiming to address player expectations.

A Pattern of Strategic Hires

This announcement follows a similar action taken by 2K Games in the summer, when they hired Rod Fergusson from the Diablo team to contribute to the BioShock development group.

It has been motivating to see how far you’ve come. You took the criticism to consideration and overhauled Project ETHOS with a revitalized goal - one that’s poised to deliver on its promise to our fans.
